Recylcing pick-up is scheduled for the
first and third Mondays of the month.
Do not use plastic bags for recyclables.
Paper bags are required.
Below are instructions for the preparation
of recyclables and acceptable materials for recycling:
Cardboard
Non-waxed corrugated
cardboard, broken down, bundled and tied, no larger than 3 feet
by 3 feet.
Plastic
#1 and #2 PETE &
HDPE bottle grade, beverage containers, milk and water jugs,
laundry detergent, shampoo bottles, oil and antifreez bottles,
or any #2 HDPE that can be poured from. All items must be rinsed,
clean, and dry, and bagged or tied. No loose plastic will be
picked up. Caps and covers must be removed from containers.
Newspapers, Magazines, and Catalogs
Bagged or bundled, clean
and dry. No wet paper will be picked up.
Glass
Must be rinsed clean
and separated by color -- green, clear, brown. All covers and
lids must be removed. Broken or mixed color glass, window glass,
ceramics, dishes, drinking glasses, or light bulbs will not be
picked up.
Tin Cans
Must be clean, dry, and
flattened with the labels removed. Must be bagged.
